Eden's Kiss is about safe skin care for healing beauty. I created Eden's Kiss totally all-natural skin care to help bridge the gap between so-called “natural” skin care and conventional “beauty” products. I know what it's like living with highly sensitive skin.
Children and Adults Need Safe Skin Care
As a child, bathing with soap made my chemically sensitive skin itch so badly I would cry. After I started wearing makeup in my teens, my skin became more problematic. I tried to conceal the damage by applying more make-up, which caused more blemishes. Each time I consulted with a dermatologist, I was prescribed various topical creams and exfoliating peels that caused my sensitive skin to become even more inflamed. As my complexion worsened, I experimented with various expensive skin care lines - ranging from the fashionably prestigious to the esoteric “natural”: none delivered their promised benefits, and they all irritated my skin. By the time I was in my late thirties, I still had red blotches and signs of aging! That was too much. Aside from the normal wear and tear of living an active outdoor lifestyle in California, I wanted a sensible explanation about the underlying causation of my skin problems.
What Is Safe Skin Care?
As I researched the synthetic chemicals identified on the ingredient panels of my former skin care products, I learned they occupy a toxic chemical family of known skin irritants, endocrine disruptors, and carcinogens. I also discovered that synthetic fragrance oils (often identified on ingredient panels as parfum or natural fragrance) are one of the leading causes of skin allergies. The truth became clear. When we repeatedly dose our bodies with skin care products that contain toxic ingredients, our skin becomes vulnerable to irritations, allergies, and excessive dryness - and our overall health is placed at risk. None of us would dream of putting fragrance oils, diazolidinyl urea or propylene glycol in our mouth, so why would any of us feed such toxic ingredients to our skin?
Safe All-Natural Skin Care Nourishes and Soothes Dry, Chemically Sensitive Skin!
The answer to many of our skin problems is simple: We can use non-toxic, synthetic-free skin care made from wholesome natural ingredients that actually care for our skin. However, finding totally all-natural skin care products can be challenging and/or extremely expensive. For many of us, who have looked, all-natural skin care products may not be available in our local stores. This lack prompted me to take action. It's said that necessity is the mother of invention. I combined my love for natural cooking with my knowledge of herbalism and aromatherapy and began “cooking” my own all natural skin care products in my kitchen. As a result of using totally all-natural ingredients, my complexion cleared, and my skin became more youthful looking - a definite plus. I'm also relieved I can now soothe my loved one's skin complaints with a beautiful calendula balm. In my small town, word has gradually spread that I -- “the balm lady” make all-natural “miracle” skin care that effectively helps heal rashes, excessive dryness, and actually makes skin look more attractive and feel good. From such encouragement, Eden's Kiss was born. From my tiny corner of the world, I look forward to helping you soothe, nourish, and heal your own dry, chemically sensitive skin care woes.
