Q: What makes EDEN’S KISS natural skin care products different from other skin care?
A: Our superior ingredients--and what we leave out! We hand make our all-natrual EDEN’S KISS products with precious essential oils and other costly natural ingredients because we’re passionate about offering you the best totally natural skin care available. We do not dilute our products with water or adulterate them with toxic synthetic chemicals that place your health at risk. You might be surprised how many times we’ve been told: “Oh, I use brand “X”; it’s very expensive. I’m sure it’s good.” However, high prices, fashion-status, and expensive advertising campaigns don’t guarantee product quality or product safety. Unlike the leading brands, EDEN’S KISS uses totally natural ingredients. EDENS’ KISS skin care products are hand-made from pesticide-free, vitamin-rich natural and certified organic ingredients – botanical oils, fresh flowers and herbs, and precious essential oils we’ve selected for their skin nourishing and healing properties.
The ingredients we use are as important as the ingredients we chose to leave out: you’ll never find synthetic, toxic ingredients such as fragrance oils, dyes, parabans, DEA,TEA, or PEG. . . in any of our products. We’re proud of our self-imposed high standards that place consumer-safety before profit. We might be the new skin care kid on the block, but we know once you try our products, you’ll take us seriously.
Q: Why do EDEN’S KISS products labels only claim EDEN'S KISS products are made from more than 70% organic ingredients”?
A: Most EDEN’S KISS products actually contain more than 90% certified organic ingredients; however due to the National Organic Program’s labeling standards and regulations, as a non-certified producer, we cannot claim that we use more than the stated “70%” figure on our labels—although this is actually the case. The process of becoming a certified organic products producer is a very expensive process that is cost prohibitive to many small producers. We hope to achieve this status in the future. In the meantime, we will continue to make our products with the same wonderful ingredients.
Q: I have sensitive skin; can I use your products? What about allergies and sensitive skin reactions?
A: EDEN’S KISS products are generally appropriate for those who have sensitive skin and who require extremely pure skin care products. EDEN’S KISS products are free of sulfates, parabens, artificial colors, dyes, and other synthetic ingredients that can pollute our bodies and put our health at risk. With EDEN’S KISS you get totally natural skin care you can use with peace of mind.
EDEN’S KISS products are very gentle for sensitive skin and reactions are extremely rare, but it is possible to be allergic to even natural substances. If you have known allergies or highly sensitive skin, please read our product labels carefully for product ingredient information before using. EDEN’S KISS recommends that you patch test any new product by applying a small amount to the inside of your forearm.
EDEN’S KISS recommends its line of unscented-essential oil free products for: newborn infants under two months of age; those who are fragrance/scent intolerant; and those who wish to nourish and soothe their skin that may be challenged by chemotherapy, radiation treatments, and other illnesses.
Q: I’m on a budget. Will I get my money’s worth from EDEN’S KISS products?
A: EDEN’S KISS concentrated botanical oil-based skin care products are luxuriously emollient. You only have to use a small pea-size amount of an EDEN’S KISS anti-aging facial elixir or hand and body balm to receive long lasting moisturizing (that won’t smother your skin or clog your pores). Given the concentration and amount of product needed for your daily skin care regimen, EDEN’ KISS works out to be one of the most reasonably priced 100 % truly natural and organic skin care lines available.
Q: Are EDEN’S KISS skin care products “greasy”? I’m oil-phobic when it comes to my skin care.
A: EDEN’S KISS skin care products are ultra-rich and emollient—not “greasy.” If you have dry skin, your skin will “drink” in our products within a few minutes or less. This is a normal characteristic of a truly natural skin care product that’s made for dry skin. Unlike the leading commercial skin care, we do NOT add synthetic ingredients to make our moisturizing products feel “matte” or “powdery” upon application. Nor do we add silicone or its derivatives (such as dimethicone) to achieve this affect. It’s questionable if one can really achieve this sensation naturally.
Healthy oil is good for our skin. Our skin needs oil to stay healthy. As our skin ages, it begins to produce less sebum (the oil our skin naturally makes). Unfortunately most of us have been taught that oil is bad for our skin—because it allegedly makes our skin oily and causes blemishes. This really isn’t accurate because not all oils are the same, and this may be where the confusion arises.
Most skin care products (including most baby oils) on the market today are manufactured from petroleum-derived ingredients, such as mineral oil and petroleum jelly. Petroleum based oils do not offer our skin any nutritional value. They can clog our pores and interfere with our skin’s natural moisturizing mechanism—ironically causing our skin to become too greasy or excessively dry. Skin care manufacturers like to use petroleum based ingredients because they are extremely inexpensive!
EDEN’S KISS products are hand-made from vitamin-rich botanical (plant source) oils. Botanical oils provide our skin softness, elasticity, and help protect our skin from external irritants and impurities.
Unlike petroleum-based oils that smother our skin, the botanical oils we use to create EDEN’S KISS products form a moisture barrier on our skin that helps hold in hydration—while still allowing our skin to breathe. Moisturizing our skin with plant oils helps our skin regulate its own natural sebum production, so our skin becomes more balanced over time—neither too oily nor too dry.
Q: Where are you located and do you have a physical store where I can visit and shop?
A: EDEN’S KISS is an online boutique doing business from the Victorian village of Ferndale, California. We do not have a "brick-and-mortar" location that is open to the public. Unfortunately due to zoning and business regulations we are not allowed to have customers visit us on site.
Q: Is it safe to use my credit card? Is your site secure?
A: Yes. We do not keep any credit card numbers in our database as all of our orders are processed via PayPal’s merchant gateway service of which we are a verified member. We also respect your privacy and do not share any of your information. Your transactions are safe and secure.
Q: How do I place an order?
A: When you see a product you would like to purchase, simply click on the "add to cart" button. The item will then be placed in your shopping cart. You then have the choice to continue shopping or to proceed to check out. When you select "check out," your Delivery Information is shown. At this juncture, you may edit your shipping address if necessary. Additionally, you will be asked to select your shipping method preference (USPS shipping options). After selecting your shipping preference, you will continue forward to verify your Payment Information. On the Payment Information page your billing address will be shown. You may edit your billing address if necessary. Then you will select your preferred payment method (mail order/personal check, or Paypal for processing credit cards). You do NOT have to be a PayPal member to use PayPal's payment gateway. After you select your payment preference, you continue forward to Confirm your order. At this point, if you have selected to pay through the PayPal gateway, you will be taken to PayPal's secure gateway page. On the left side of this page those, who are not PayPal members, may click on that option to enter their credit card details. Those, who are PayPal members, may simply log on at the right side of the page. When paying by credit card on PayPal your payment information will be encrypted and safely transferred via PayPal's merchant gateway service. We do not keep any of your sensitive credit card information on our website. After completing your transaction, you will be returned to our site. If you have any questions about this process please don't hesitate to contact us.
Q: What are your shipping charges and how long will it take to receive my order?
A: We ship domestic retail orders via USPS First Class Mail, Priority Mail, and USPS Priority flat rate mail; the delivery time of your order will depend on the method you have selected. In general you may expect delivery in 2-6 business days. Although we do offer USPS Express Mail, we caution that this method may not always be faster than Priority Mail due to our rural location. We ship international orders via International Priority Mail; expect delivery in 6-10 business days. Insurance is available for international orders. Our shipping costs are determined by weight and destination. At checkout, shipping costs are automatically calculated and you can select the shipping method of your choice. Please be aware that the weight of the shipping carton and packing materials are included and any fraction of a pound equals the next pound rate.
Order processing and shipping time—EDEN’S KISS business hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pacific time. Most retail orders received before 5:00 p.m. will ship within one (1) business day provided the product ordered is in stock.
Q: I would like to call in my order; do you have a phone number that I can call to speak with someone?
A: Currently we do not have a dedicated toll-free customer service line. We are usually busy making fresh products and packing orders; therefore, we are not always by the phone. We'd rather eliminate phone calls altogether rather than have you reach our answering machine. Q: Do you sell wholesale?
